know who M-Dash is and where you from?
M-DASH: Wassup wit ya pimp, This is ya boy M-Dash from Vallejo,
CA…The Bay Area, ½ of the rap group NBD, aka Smokey
Robinson aka Pimpin Azz.
DSB: Coming out the Bay, where you think Bay music is at right
now?
M-DASH: Bay Music is moving in the right direction, we got a lot of
solid projects dropping this year and some already dropped, still
got the hyphy movement in motion, but a lot of us are goin back to
the signature Bay Area sound that we known for, The Mobb Music,
the Pimp and Playa Music, The 420 Marijuana chokin music, you
feel me…..thats where we at right now….We movin forward and
not lookin back…..
DSB: How long you been in the music industry? Can you give us
the history of M-Dash?
M-DASH: Yeah, I been in the industry since 1998, and we dropped
our first NBD album as a group in 1999 and since then we have
dropped 8

M-DASH: Yeah, I been in the industry since 1998, and we dropped
our first NBD album as a group in 1999 and since then we have
dropped 8
solo projects. We dropped 2 NBD albums, “Preliminary Hearing” and “Collectors Item”, also dropped some Hot
mixtapes, then I hit the solo path and released my debut solo album called “Po Broke and Hungry”, this CD came with
a 90minute DVD and featured The Game, San Quinn, Jacka, Sean T, JT the Bigga Figga, Prohoezak, Cellski and
more. This CD was a success for me and its still movin units. I just stay busy fam, I love music and music lives thru me,
I eat, shit and breathe music, "OFF TOP". That’s just a brief history of a few of the projects. The catalog continues to
grow.
DSB: "Keep Smoke Alive", is that your latest album?
M-DASH: Yes, Keep Smoke Alive is the newest release and my sophomore solo album.
DSB: Any features or productions we should look out for?
M-DASH: Yes, Keep Smoke Alive Features The Game, Sean T, Jacka, Husalah, Prohoezak, Lee Majors, and also
features my Platinum Bound camp Young Moe, Tilt, Baytastic, and Marsh Nut. Production by Tatem 1, Remy Remaq,
Davey D, The Nephews and Hardnox.
DSB: What should folks expect when they listen to your album?
M-DASH: A more mature sound, creative lyrics, a nice well rounded album, feel good music, a breathe of fresh air, no
doubt.
DSB: What else you got cooking?
called “The Dummy Duo” mixed by DJ Boy Wonder, this project features Akon, Goldie From the Federation, NBD,
Baytastic, Young Moe, Rux, KMX, Young Dru, Mista Cane and more…..look out for this release in mid Sept….I also

Entertainment, KNOW ABOUT IT!!!
