DSB: What up Toho. Thanks for taking the time to let our
readers know about your movement. You was born in
Oakland and raised in L.A right?
TOHO: YES, On January 31st 1970. I was born up on pill hill in
Oakland then moved to Los Angeles in 1975. I've been living
in the bay since 92 and traveling the world since 2000.
DSB: So your pop’s was a Motown musician right? How did
that influence your music career?
TOHO: When I was five years old pops, got a call to go work
with JR. WALKER and THE ALLSTARS. The whole family
moved to Los Angeles until the latter part of high school. I was
really into surfing and lived with some homies on the beach in
Santa Monica and started playing bass in a high school rock
band. My pops played a big role by sharing as much info
about the bass and its role in the music.
DSB: You have played wit oh many great bands correct, how
did that mold you to the artist you are now?
TOHO: I have been honored to build and develop my skills
after a couple of decades of working with many national and
international reggae artists like Leroy Smart, Born Jamericans,
Red Foxx, Don Carlos, Junior Reid, Frankie Paul, Everton
Blender, Warrior King, Luten Fyah, M.C. Jamal-ski, Sister
Carol, Charlie Chaplin, Dillinger, The Abysinians, Sugar Minot.

TOHO: In the future, I’m interested in collaborating with other artists and dj’s from all music genres, so people get at me.
DSB: What should people expect to hear out of this project?
TOHO: People will hear a bass player who decided to express himself in a different way than most. I am inspired by many genres
of music and hope to share that with all listeners.
DSB: Can you let our readers know what Ghettotech is?
TOHO: Ghettotech is a form of electronic dance music originating from Detroit. It’s been described as really gritty and raw beats.
It combines elements of Chicago's ghetto house with electro, hip hop, techno, and grafts the perceived raunch of Miami Bass as
the vocal stamp of the music. It is usually faster than most other dance music genres.
DSB: Whats up with the rumors of a clothing line?
TOHO: Not just yet. I’m focusing on music right now.
