DSB: What is it like being part of a multi platinum selling group?
You must feel very humbled?
Scola: Growing up in Baltimore Maryland was rough so I
started singing and excelled in that. It was a long hard road but
I made it happen! I had a number 1 record over Dru Hill in my
region so joining a group of this magnitude was great It
basically took me to another level. Yes I am very grateful to
have been a part of the group
DSB: What projects are you currently working on?
Scola: Im currently working on my Solo project called “From EA
to Cali” that will be out very soon
DSB: You just released a new album, give us some info on that?
Scola: Yes it’s a Grown & Sexy Slow Jam CD its full of classic
hits that I wrote & produced before I was in Dru Hill. Its currently
on sale NOW at www.cdbaby.com/cd/scolamusic also at all
download sites like Apple Itunes and more. This CD features a
song called LET’S GET PERSONAL this song was featured in
the motion picture ATL starring TI.
DSB: Are there any Dru Hill albums in the works?
Scola: Well actually this year I am no longer with the group so I
am not sure what they are working on right now.
DSB: You also do acting right? Tell us about that?
Scola: Yes I did my 1st Stage Play called “What Momma Don’t
Know Won’t Hurt” in Detroit Michigan. That wet very well. I was
the lead character.
Scola: Yes I am actually reading now for a few parts. I guess I would say a hustler or ganster typerole, maybe because
that is all I grew up around and I saw it everyday. So I would be able to really relate to it.
