Rah Digga
DSB: How are things going for you right now?
RahDigga: Things are going very well thank you.
DSB: You are working on your 3rd album right? What can
the fans expect from this release?
RahDigga: This is probably the 10th album I've recorded
but this will be my 2nd commercial release. It's current
working title was "Succafree" but I'm changing it to "The
Price Just Went Up". You can expect some classic Rah
Digga but I've grown up alot since the Dirty Harriet days
and I regret the fact that the powers that be prevented me
from releasing albums on a consistent basis thus my fans
not being able to see the transformation in progress. I
have alot of concepts and"grownup" rap but I have a very
catchy kid-friendly first single. It's all in the game.

DSB: You have Amy Winehouse on there, how did that
link come about?
RahDigga: She shouted me out as being one of her
favorites and hopefuls to work with in her XXL interview. I
was flattered because I caught wind of her before her
single actually flourished. I listen to a variety of music and
I seem to have a knack for guessing who's gonna blow. I
just made the same prediction with Alice Smith..lol. I have
yet to work with Amy because she started having personal
problems right when all of this transpired. I'm hoping the
offer still stands and I'm glad to see she's doing better.
Amy if you're reading this my verse is already ready baby!
DSB: Do you listen to much UK music?
RahDigga: I have alot of friends in the UK. I worked with Jamelia in the past. I recently met Estelle and she's dope. One of my
producers is a UK native named Dready. He's gonna go far because his production sounds like the funk stuff that Hip-Hop is
desperately lacking right now. That good ole beats and rhymes ish. And who doesn't love the Beatles?

DSB: You have a huge fan base in Germany, how does it feel to get such massive recognition over sea's?
RahDigga: It'll keep me working that's for sure. Artists abroad always say they get more love in the States. Ironically, thats
how we feel about overseas.
acting something you had always wanted to pursue? Any
other movie deals on the table?
RahDigga: Not really. It was an opportunity that presented
itself and I acted my ass off. Its all a performance on some
level. I'm acting when I have to smile at people when I
really want to say "What the fuck are you staring at?" I'm
about to do an indie with Vivica Fox in a few weeks and
there are some others still in developement. That strike
messed up alot of stuff. Deals were unraveling before the
strike because they knew it was coming.

DSB: The 'Touch It Remix' was a huge success! Did you
expect such recognition for that track?
RahDigga: I knew that record was a hit soon as I heard it.
I recorded my verse on my own before the remix even
came about. I was just gonna do it as a mixtape but lo and
behold.

DSB: What keeps you going day to day? I mean the music
business is hard but how do you keep your focus?
RahDigga: My daughter is my rock. She comes before
everything. I spent enough time away from her when she
was a baby so I've been using this down time to really
bond with her and make sure she's entering puberty
properly. She looks like my sister already and I'm afraid I'm
gonna have to whoop somebody son's ass over her early.

DSB: When did you first start rapping?
RahDigga: When I was 12.

DSB: How did the link with Flipmode surface?
RahDigga: Qtip signed me to Elektra when I was
pregnant. After a while we started having creative
differences; I was a lil too hardcore for Tip. He went to
Busta because he felt that I fit in better with him. Busta
Lady of Flipmode!

DSB: How do you feel you have matured as an artist since your first release 'Dirty Harriet'?
RahDigga: I've just grown up. I'm not the blunt tokin, beat a bitch with a bat, timberland wearing thug chick I once was. Now I
wear stilettos. LOL! All jokes aside, I'm really conscious of what I say now because my daughter is very aware of everything
I'm saying. I want her to be proud of me. I cringe when the last line of "Touch It" comes on and she's lookin at me cuz she
know she can't sing it when I'm around. I want my baby to be able to sing whatever I say.

DSB: Who has influenced you over the years?
RahDigga: Besides Oprah & Beyonce, my parents.

DSB: What other plans do you have for 2008?
RahDigga: I'm releasing my first single by summer called "Lil Fattie" I'm doing a digital deal with Sony because let's face it,
digital is the future I wanna be one of the pioneers for it. I'm taking classes for film editing as well. I'm nice with the final cut pro
but I want a degree so I can edit one of those Harry Potter joints. I see myself doing even bigger things off camera.

DSB: Any Shout's?
RahDigga: God bless everyone who has continued to support me for so long and all of you that had to argue with your
friends that I'm the nicest chick...YOU ARE ABOUT TO WIN THE BET!!! Love you UK!
