radio show) a few yrs back. Let our readers know
who all the members of KAL5 are.
Nehru: Kal 5 consist of 33rd, Wrinkelz, Self Lion,
Mousalano and myself, Nehru
DSB: How long has KAL5 been a group and how
did you come up with the name?
Nehru: We’ve been together a lil over 10yrs, and
33rd had came up wit the name. It sound like sum
Kali-ish so we rolled wit it.
DSB: Who does the writing in the group or does
everybody write their own lyrics?
Nehru: Everybody writes for themselves in this
group.
DSB: What group or artist(s) do ya’ll compare your
selves to?
Nehru: 1st off I would say that we don’t sound
anybody. Secondly that’s a hard question because
its more than 1 personality and We all have our
own flavor that we bring to the table.
DSB: Ohhh…excuse me Mr. 1st off. (Lol) What
makes your music stand out in the crowd?
Nehru: Besides the fact that we all have different
flows, we each target different audiences and don’
t forget that one of the members is from Belize. He
just adds that rude boy swagger to the pot.!
DSB: Yes, I know. I can’t forget Self Lion. How

Nehru: Kal 5 is always in the studio, no matter if it’s all together or 1 at a time. We’ve been together long enough to
understand how to keep things moving when we all can’t be there for studio time but everybody still gets to work.
DSB: Now you are also a solo artist, correct?
Nehru: Yes I am. The whole group has solo projects as well.
DSB: Do you do any producing?
Nehru: I co-produce on some occasions.
DSB: What artists have you as a solo artist or KAL5 as a group worked with?
Nehru: Kal 5 has worked with Chino XL industry wise. Underground level the list is long.
A few to name would be K-Dogg, Da Heathens, Krafty Bastard, black coral etc
DSB: Yes, I know K-Dogg and of course I know Da Heathens. What artist or producer are you looking forward to
working with?
Nehru: Timberland, Quick, Focus to name a few. Even Goldie Loc makes some hard tracks.
