DSB: Najay The Chosen 1, can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Najay: Well most certainly, I go by the name Najay The Chosen 1 , im
from Los Angeles and I'm reppin the west coast to the fullest, it haven’
t been a female in a long time from a hip hop standpoint to rep the
west.
DSB: Let us know about the name?
Najay: Najay is part of my given first name which is Lanaja, but I feel
that I was chosen to do a lot of things, maybe I was chose to save the
rap game lol, because the state that it is in now!! It needs to be saved
shit somebody got to do it so why not chose me
DSB: How long you been in the rap game?
Najay: I started rapping at the age of 8 and been writing my own lyrics
at 15
DSB: What made you jump into this industry?
Najay: Ive always had a passion for music. Ever since I was a child I
felt this was for me, and a lot people inspired me to do what I do, I
used to listen to n.w.a , d.j quick snoop, da brat m.c lyte.. The list
goes on.

DSB: Do you feel its hard to get the attention a male artist get in the industry? Or do you feel that talent speaks louder
then gender?
Najay: Yeah in a way , because I think people expect for females to look like a super model or dressing half naked and
shit, I'm not knocking that though but I think it takes away from the females that really do be spittin. But hip hop alone is
suffering because it’s a lot of artists that’s out now that don’t have an inkling of talent but they shit be on the top of the
charts, that’s funny to me, but then again it ain't funny it’s kind of crazy.
DSB: What are you currently working on? Any Albums we should look out for or pick up?
Najay: Yea most definitely yall should be on the look out on that “try to shyne like me” mix tape coming soon.
DSB: Are you currently signed to anyone?
Najay: No not at the moment I got em looking tho!!
DSB: Other then your music is there any other projects you working on?
Najay: Well right now my main focus is my music, but I do want to venture out and do other things such as acting and
starting my own label, I definitely want to do that.
