DSB: What up Ms. Re’, Can you let our readers know who “Ms. Re’”
is?
MS. RE: What’s da biz? Ms. Re’ is “Da Boss Baby”….LOL Ms. Re’ is
an independent artist/entrepreneur that represents the struggle and
the epitome of strength. I’m out here living my dream and accepting
my calling. I’m also a mother, daughter, sister and friend. I’m every
woman.
DSB: What up with your 2008 SEA nomination? Give us the scoop on
that.
MS. RE: The Southern Entertainment Awards got the buzz from the
street that I was making noise on the mixtape scene and they
recognized me through nomination: Mixtape Artist of the Year –
Female. I’m so humbled and honored. Not sure if I’ll bring it home in
January, but it’s huge to be ranked with legends in the game like
Gangsta Boo and La Chat. There are a lot of other women in the
game gettin’ it – again, I’m honored.
DSB: Where you from?
MS.RE: I’m from the steel-toe part of Da Boot – Bogalusa, Louisiana.

That’s where my roots are… I have stomped around Southeast Louisiana and Southwest Mississippi for years…..now, I’m
holdin’ down – H-Town….Houston, TX. I’m from the Dirty.
DSB: How you feel about the south movement?
MS. RE: The South in general is on the rise. We’ve recently been the front runners in the game. Louisiana AND Texas
have some of the biggest names in the game right now. It’s goin’ down!! There’s an under current of FEMALE artists on
the rise in the South – don’t sleep on us!!!
DSB: What made you get in the game?
MS. RE: I was bred for the game. I’m intelligent, I’m opinionated, I’m creative, I’m bold, AND I’m cute…..LOL I’ve
ALWAYS been inclined to the arts and vocal expression. I didn’t realize until the last few years that all those years
speaking and performing in the church/schools and my life’s lessons were all part of God’s divine design and will for MY
life. So…..I guess the bottom line is DESTINY…..I was born to do this.
DSB: Boss Baby Ent. . gives us the scoop on that.
MS. RE: Boss Baby Entertainment is the result of realization!! Realization that I was born to be Da Boss….. and
realization that my dreams weren’t any one else’s priority. I formed the company with my business partners Walter and
Polo 4 years ago and have dedicated my life to it’s advancement. Like I said, I’ve loved the arts for years, but was
unable to ever find a ‘label home’ or place to get a fair shake……. It was divine design……. Now, I’m Da Boss, Baby!
DSB: "Da Sequel" Is that you latest project?
MS. RE: Da Sequel is the follow up mixtape to Da Street Sweeper – the first release under Boss Baby (which also gained
the SEA nomination). It is available online and in some local stores now.
DSB: Who's features or the production on that?
MS. RE: I featured mainly the people that I’ve been working with closely the last few months. No ‘big names’, but a lot of
talent that needs to be exposed. I’ve always been the under dog and I pride myself in supporting others… Shouts to
Heartbeats, DJ Mistah, EQ, Phil Moore, and Fire for original production work……..the artists will speak for themselves.
DSB: What else you got cooking right now? Any new albums or mixtapes we should keep a look out for?
MS. RE: I got gumbo brewing…. A little bit of everything in the pot. The album is in the vault – definitely dropping in
2008. I’ve been working with DJ Dirty Red on a project or 3. I’m gonna work with Street Pharmacy this year on some
mixtapes, that’s my mission. A million mixtapes in 2008. If I fall short… I’ll have tried..LOL

I’m working on a project for my 8 year old daughter, Ms. Jaia – “Da Baby Boss”. She’s got a hot single out now with my
12 year old niece and 4 year old daughter. She’s an amazing kid….. She's get it from her mama!!! LOL Check her out

Honestly, no telling…. I’ll be directing some videos, some modeling……if it can be done….. I can do it!!!
