DSB: J Steez! Good looking on taking the time to
jump on this interview, can you bless our readers
with a quick intro of who J Steez is?
JSteez: Cheaaa!, All good, I'm outta South Gate,
Ca. Ive been on these beats for about 10 years
now, just trying to make my mark.
DSB: How did you get into producing? How long
you been in it?
JSteez: Well, me and my boys got that DR-202
Boss drum machine, lol, man that shit was dope. I
dropped alot of heat on that. That was about 10
years ago.

you produce for?

JSteez: The first artist I produced for were my boy Young Brown and Dee. We grew up together and just started dropping
tracks fucking arround in my garage.
DSB: How has your music changed from back then?
JSteez: Back then it was just about trying to find a sound and mastering it. I always loved funk and oldiesso i tried to blend
some of that into what my ears liked to hear. Its alot more stuff to expiriment with now than back then. I didnt have a sampler
and now Ive grown into sampling and I can do about anything.

list goes on.

JSteez: When I heard Quik. My brother picked me up from school in his 63 Impala and said "Yo peep this CD I got at the
Slauson Swapmeet" His beats were sick mann.
DSB: Who are some artist that you haven’t worked with and would like to?
JSteez: There are alot but I would say Quik.
DSB: So you are currently on that beat hustle, we see you got some as low as $500 a track. That’s love for the Indei artist
that is on the come up. What should folks expect for that price?
JSteez: My name is stamped on every beat I drop so i gotta come correct on everyone ya digg. I know how hard it is to get
in the game andhow you gotta know cats, so i do payment plans for dudes and give them a opportunity to get at any one of
