Right now the West Coast has limited mainstream efforts
(except for Game and Ice Cube) and it seems like there
is a struggle for position in the rap industry at least on
the left side of the coast anyways. With the streets being
hungry for new music and new sounds , I had a chance
to catch up with Dubb Union to see exactly what was on
the horizon for them this coming year and also checking
to see what projects they were working on. the interview
due to scheduling issues.) So i spoke withthe interview

Dubb Union members Bad Lucc and Damani and found
out how they came together and got in the game.
DSB: First of All, I've been following you through the
(except for Game and Ice Cube) and it seems like there

DSB: First of All, I've been following you through the

DSB: Who? Western Union ?
Bad Lucc: Hell yeah , they told us to keep it movin. Lawyers called and everything. It was not the business. Dont want to
mess with the man, lol . We still go by Western Union but not on paper.
DSB: So how did you come up with the name Dubb Union ???
Damani: Well it wasn't hard , we just took what we were about and turned it into something. We all from different parts of
L.ASoopafly, Bad Lucc and myself - so we just called it a union. Dubb Union.
Bad Lucc: Damani had the idea to come together and Snoop said if youre going to do it , im going to back you so from then
on we were on a roll.
DSB: Who? Western Union ?

Bad Lucc: Well we have different styles but when we
put them together it seems to be the perfect sound.
Damani is the playa of the group and he brings that
"playalistic" sound, and I like to attack the track and
Soopafly is the one who brings the funkadelic sound
and that retro feel to a track , you know that old
classic sound. So from here it seems to be complete.
DSB: Well not to change the subject but what are you
both listening to? Who is hot? And who is in the cd
player right now??
Bad Lucc: Right now, honestly Im listening to Wale ,
he is really hard and basically thats all i'm really
diggin right now. Dude is the truth. I'm all across the
board with mine- i listen to everything from 80's to
Soul but you know all the hot ish I listen to lol

always listen to Short he is always only of my favorites.

Bad Lucc: Well we got production from the whole gang. Teddy Riley, Soopafly and we have some features from Kurupt ,
Snoop, and Traci Nelson.
DSB: Ok so what tracks you consider to be heaters or bangers?
Damani: Pick One. If you're asking us then we would say them all. We think we collectively have put together a good
project.

Damani: We are going to be on tour with Snoop toward the end of the year so just look out for us.. Put Your 3-D Glasses
