DSB: What up Dj RazeOne! Can you introduce your self to
our readers?
DjRazeOne: What up people? I go by the name Dj Raze
One, coming out of riverside but repping the inland empire
and the west coast to the fullest. Right now i’m the i.e.
mixtape go to dj.
DSB: Reppin the IE to the fullest right? The music industry
is blowing up out there right?
DjRazeOne: Yes sir imma rep the I.E. to the fullest where
ever I go trust me. Also on the industry side its getting
alittle buzz popping right now, its not where it should be at
but its getting attention now. I mean u got the young
generation going hard right now in these streets like
krusafix, epic, stage, rank 1, m-pound and many more
artists doing their thing right now.
DSB: How long have you been in the DJ game? How did
you get into DJ’in?
DjRazeOne: Well I first started off collecting records and
practicing off the homie's brother set since high school.
Then I finally got my own pair of turntables and since then
I've done the battle scene, house parties and clubs scene
since. It just recently i got in to the mixtape game and since
then its a wrap lol.
DSB: How did you get into the mix tape game?
DjRazeOne: The truth i just started not that long ago
taking the mixtape thing serious. I mean i did tapes in high
playing i.e. artists music. Plus after the birth of my son it made me really focus hard on this music game like getting out there
networking, getting mixtapes out there and grinding. I still feel like I got a long way to go tho.
DSB: Let us know about the the different volmes you have, like “Side Walk Radio” and “Return Of The Hustle”?
DjRazeOne: Side walk radio started awhile ago me just doing mixes for my podcast thing, get my name heard out there and
the reason I called it side walk radio cause I play a lot of stuff you don't really hear on the radio but bangs in the streets. It was
also a short lived internet mixshow I had with sly boogy. Return of the hustle is straight west coast mixtape series I do to
showcase west coast major artist and unsigned artist's music I feel needs to be heard. Imma drop volume 3 this tuesday
hosted by krondon also shout out to quiz and jay-rock for hosting the first 2 mixtapes. Also I just drop side walk radio vol 2
hosted by hot dollar the other day.
DSB: How can a young talented artist jump on one of your mixtapes? What does a track need, to make the list?
DjRazeOne: Just hit me up seriously, I mean if the music is dope I will play it trust me. Also make sure the quality of the music
sounds good cause that helps when I go to pick what songs gonna make it on the tape. Send music to
sidewalkradiomp3@gmail.com.
DSB: Where can folks get a copy of one of your mixtapes?
DjRazeOne: There’s acouple spot I know who carry it like mad platter & headstone records both in the i.e. and some mom
and pops record stores. Also I get phone calls from people who said they pick up a copy of my tapes in swapmeets all over
from la to i.e to even s.d., so the truth I really don’t know just look for it and if they don’t have it ask for it lol or hit up my
myspace to order them.
DSB: You didn't tell them that they can also download alot of Dj Raze One's project on DaStreetBuzz.com
DSB: Whats the next project we should look out for?
DjRazeOne: Man I been getting busy with these tapes right now. Every 2-3 weeks im trying to drop, new return of the hustle
tape and once a month a new s.w.r. tape too. Im also doin stage’s new mixtape called “new face of the i.e.” with dj ill will and
the homie hoodrat miguel dropping june 10th. Working on mine and fix 3rd mixtape called “the reason to hate” coming soon.
So I been dropping about 4 or more mixtapes a month.
DSB: Other then DJ’in, do you do any production?
DjRazeOne: I have done some producing but not as much as I would like to. I done 2 tracks off epic new mixtape I did with dj
ill will. One of the track is called “got a problem” featuring sly boogy, it’s a crazy track right there.
DSB: What other projects do you have in the works?
DjRazeOne: I got alotta different stuff in the works right now I cant really speak of besides mixtapes til the time is right. Also
shout to out to jazzy from jazzy management cause me and him got jazzy dj’s bout to launch off and u can catch me throwing
events and doing clubs/shows.
DSB: Good looking on the interview, any last words you would like to leave our readers with?
