DSB: How is it being a DJ, CEO Engineer, Promoter and a dancer?
seeing organization, progress and my dreams fulfilled with me own
direction at hand. Sure I get tired from playing the "Octopuss" But I
love what i do and everyday is a new day of work.
DSB: When do you find the time to wear that many hats?
Dj Leggs: Well right now music is my main thing, dance has always
far as training, performing & teaching my classes, ect. Promotion &
doing clubs and breaking a few artist we were working with before. It
all tied in simultaneously at some point and i just got stuck with it all.
DSB: I know that you was a dancer first and you was never taught
by a teacher so to speak. How did you perfect the craft?
Dj Leggs: Well we were die hard with it on our own, everyday, every
night, every jam we could attend. But eventually I got much guidance
from my teacher/mentor "Frosty Freeze" Rock Steady Crew. Also
just having a crew to grow up with, dance with and hang out keeps
you in there. We were always practicing. When you put your all into
it, perfection comes to you.
DSB: How does it feel to be able to teach kids about dance and to
have so many people look at you to be their inspiration?
Dj Leggs: I love it, I'm off to class right now as we speak. I train and
teach almost everyday with the youth. I'm like a big brother and I'm
giving them something they can take with then, that comes from me.
Its a hand down of a great art form I have had the pleasure of
learning.
DSB: How did being a DJ Assistant help you out as a DJ and better
yet as a person?
Dj Leggs: Showed me much about music, life and inspiration. I was assisting originally under some local dj's way back,
substituted when learning these art forms. Ive learned, you just have to go for them. It helps you grow as a better past
it.
DSB: What are some of the things you are currently working on?
Dj Leggs: Album,l new artist & related projects for release, opening this dance school, branding my record label/ent.
Company, Hybrid. Take over the planet, maybe!
DSB: What are the most important things on you list that you want the readers to know about right now?
Dj Leggs: Very humble, love to work with the industry weather small or big, come talk to me. Its not about "me" its
about "you"!
DSB: When can we expect that DVD to hit the streets?
Dj Leggs: Probably by early 2010 because in just now starting to work on it, get my interviews placed. New footage
shot, also working on some history digging so everything is perfect. The dvd will be dope, I have many pioneers who
are willing to help me! Stay Tuned!
