DSB: What up fam! Can you bless our readers and let them know who
Diego Redd is?
DIEGO REDD: Well diego redd is from Fresno Ca. Diego Redd is a
rebel with a cause. And that cause is making sure that my story and
the story of those just like me is told. I represent life through music
from a urban, poverty stricken stand point. I'm not a king pin with kilos
and guns galore. I represent your average young black male trying to
survive the ghetto. Which means I represent the majority of our youth
in america. No additives. No extras. The real.
DSB: So we see you reppin “Central Cali” to the fullest, hows the
movement out there?
DIEGO REDD: The movement is strong. We really don't look at it like
a movement. We out here living and doing what it is we do on a daily
basis with or without watching eyes and press on us.
Enough people who matter know we get down. They know we wit the
shit on and off records. And thats just not Fresno but bakersfield all
the way up to stockton. 661, 559, to the 209.
DSB: I got a chance to see “We Taking Over (remix)” how was all that
talent hooked up?

DSB: I got a chance to see “We Taking Over (remix)” how was all that

DIEGO REDD: My manager Hecktik Saprano is responsible for that. Planet Asia invited me to be in a video he was
shooting and I showed up to support. Hecktik felt it would be a good idea since we were all in town and available to do
somthing. We opted on doing a remix/mixtape record rather than somthing else based upon our schedules. We have
other things together since, that was the jump off.
DSB: How long you been in the game?
DIEGO REDD: My love for this shit dates back as far as I can remember. As far as being in studios recording, having
records on the radio and boyfriends breaking up with they're girlfriends, destroying my cds and etc because she plays me
too much? I can say ten years. lol
DSB: What made you or inspired you to follow this industry?
DIEGO REDD: It was natural. I never made a choice to to be apart of this industry. I love what I do. I do it when no one is
around. I do this when the praises are few. I do this in my sleep. My family has a love for music so I grew up watching my
brother get busy and thats the first emcee I wanted to be. My older brother was the first emcee i studied as far as style
and carring your self in a manor that seperated you from the average aspireing artist. Some of us are just born to do it.
From there the industry chose me.
DSB: Kayne West said that you are "One of the hottest out of the West Coast or all over the United States". What was
your reaction to that statement?
DIEGO REDD: It was an honor of course. That's the Louis Vutton don. That's the producer who's iller than 89% of the
rappers. It was Kanye west. I've heard the same things he said all my career but it was just one more accoplishment to be
recognized in that light. Did I mention he was telling the truth? lol
DSB: What are you currently working on?
DIEGO REDD: My new album. My best work thus far. Diego Redd: Hard to f@#k wit: A rebel wit a cauze. Long ablum title
right? All my projects have that two name thing going on with them. One is the streets name for the record and the other
is the tittle for the masses. I'm sure you can tell which is which. I've produced three records on it myself. I've kept the
features to a minimum and really decided to introduce me and my artist. I worked with producers who were from my area
and needed that shot. Da fresh boyz, Halo, Phlex Ruger, Ambush and of course Hecktik Saprano. I wanted to bring my
own sound. A new sound of sorts from the west. The people will be pleased.
DSB: Other then your music, what else you got your hands in?
DIEGO REDD: I'm a writer. I'm working on some movie scripts. I have a Documentary on my career coming. A Comedy
thats between Chapelle and nick cannon's show called "The Steve Macman hour" and that's hosted by my guy Steve
Macman comiedan/artist. I have some artist that I'm ready to introduce to people. 08 should show people the power of my
mind.
DSB: What up with Rebel Ent.? Is that the label you roll with?
DIEGO REDD: Yes. Rebel entertainment/The rebel entity. That's my label. I co-own and operate it with my business
partner and best friend Money Bo$$. It's always been that way since the begining. We have Skeam coming home and
dropping soon. The rebellion album. Aplus the kid. Gutta d. Muthaf@#ka. Nova Cain and alot more dropping soon.
