DSB: Well, Well, Well… Here we go again…lol
Last time I had the pleasure of interviewing yall,
the group was just formed. So since yall are family
now, introduce yourselves one by one to our
readers that may not know you.
DPNG: "THE GENERAL" DANGEROUS ROB.
reppin Tulsa, Oklahoma "thugg town".
Chaotic, reppin the DC, MD, VA better known as
the DMV!
J-Tripz aka Spocc Jenkinz, founder of The Dead
Poets Society. For more info on the D.P.S. contact
me at hudsonjay3@aol.com. D.P.S. is an elite
group of DJ’s and MC’s who understand the true
roots of gangsta hip-hop. More to come.
B. Montana aka Tana Mayne, I’m the Quarter
Back of the Fam. Bay Reppin!
DSB: You guys were brought together by Daz
DSB: Got It!!! Who writes for the group or is it a combination of all of you?
Montana: Everybody writes their own stuff, no ghost writing here baby!!!
DSB: When yall are laying a track down, do you try to make sure everyone is on every track?
Montana: If it’s a track that we’re gonna push, then yeah. Other than that we mix it up a bit. You’ll see on the Mix Tape
(Idolized) dropping April 3rd!!!
DSB: How long have each of you been in the game, before becoming DP Next Generation?
Tripz: I’ve been in the circuit, seriously working, since about 2000, I’ve been spittin since I was 12 years old though.
DANGEROUS ROB: ALL MY LIFE! At least 20 years. Recorded my first record when I was 15 years old.
Montana: I’ve been in and out of the game since I was about 12. I was never serious about it til about a few years ago
though, everybody been telling me that I been sitting on talent my whole life and I should’ve been a millionaire but I get
distracted sometimes ya know. I’m focused now!
DSB: Stay focused MANNN!!!
DSB: I understand yall do a lot of self promotion right now, how is that working?
Tripz: It’s not easy by any means… We all live in separate states which is both a negative and
a positive… Positive because we don’t have to do the amount of traveling that another group
in our same geographical situation would have to do in order to promote. We cover 6 states
just by being in our own towns. Recording has proposed sort of a problem though. It takes us
a little longer to record because we have to send the tracks state to state on a server.

DSB: Do you feel a lot of pressure with
Tha Dogg Pound name attached to you?
It’s a high standard you have to live up
do?
Tripz: We put more pressure on
ourselves, than any Brand could put on
us. We’re a group of perfectionists, which
is why we are able to relate to each other
so well… We don’t make music in order
to “attain” the level of our bigg homies,
we aim to exceed that level. Our aim is to
make The Dogg Pound Next Generation
the biggest most substantial group in hip-
hop history. Through a contest held by
DAZ we were able to literally move up
from the streets to recording with Multi-
Platinum producers and artists… That’s
Gangsta.
DSB: That I do agree. Do you think being
compared to Tha Dogg Pound is a good
or bad thing?
(from Tha Dogg Pound), but tell everyone exactly how you guys all formed the group called DP Next Generation?
Dangerous Rob: Shemia Miller and Bigg A brought us together from the dpgc idol contest, we were all finalists in the
contest, formed the group and been mashin with each other ever since.
DSB: When it was all said and done, did you all agree that you all had to right chemistry?
Dangerous Rob: yeah the chemistry was beautiful like a pot of gumbo, a whole bunch ofdifferent styles, rolled up into
one. Chuuuuch!!!
DSB: Besides Snoop, Daz, and Kurupt, who were some of your influences, musically?
Chaotic: Jay Z, Pac, Scarface…Ill even get white boy on yall and go with Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones. Shit they
bigger g’s than most of the rappers you hear today!
DANGEROUS ROB: Besides the homies, I was influenced by Run from Run DMC, Chuck D, Ice Cube and The Gap Band.
They are from my home town, Tulsa, Oklahoma. I grew up on them, they’re from my neighborhood.
Tripz: I like M.O.P. and Freeway a lot. I tend to listen to more old early 90’s west coast underground hip-hop like Freestyle
Fellowship. I actually did a track with P.E.A.C.E. about a year ago for a DJ ICE mix tape… I like Cube, Saafir, I listen to a lot
of old school Jazz as well… Go cop my last Solo Album Chicken Wingz, Gritz, & Spitz! It’s got a track I did with Jazz Trumpet
legend Chuck Findley… That cat has worked with everyone from Pavarotti to Mariah Carey. Great song.
Montana: Pac of course, Jay Z, BIG, Scarface, MC Eight, Spice 1, Andre 3000,LL, Run DMC, Too Short, The Hot Boyz,
Master P, Diddy, NWA, 50, GAME, Yuk, C BO, E 40, R Kelly, Jodeci, Prince. Just to name a few, the list can go on and on.
DSB: Damn Big Brother… that a hell of a list, lol How does each of you differ?

Montana: First of all, we’re all from different places.
We cover the West, Mid-West, the South and the
East, so that’s different flavors right there. But If you
want me to breakdown the personalities, I can do that
for ya.
DSB: Yeah, I want you to do that…
Montana: D Rob is the General of the Click, he over
sees everything as far as we go. J Tripz is the wild one
of the Bunch, crazy “Party Animal” and always ready
to ryde on a fool. Meko is the more laid back one of
the crew, real Mob Boss type, Chaotic is the Pretty
Boy. He always keeps us up on the latest fashions and
he Gangsta wit it! Can’t forget my Dogg 4-Five, he
does a lot with and for us so he’s really part of us, he’s
the straight West Coast Gangsta! Reppin the West
Hard! Me (Montana), I’m the QB, I facilitate, make sure
things are getting done and keep everybody focused
on the Game.
Tripz: That is a double edged sword. DPG is a household name, so it goes without saying that it helps with our notoriety.
The problem it proposes is that we are all “Free Agents” as far as our contracts go, and being associated with the DPG
brand gives the impression that we are contracted and can’t make moves without the consent of our bigg homies. THAT IS
NOT THE CASE. This is the reason we have our own registered Name, Brand, and Logo. The Dogg Pound gave us the
name because they felt that we were worthy to wear it because our level of hustle and skill. We’re doggz ,and the bigg
doggz recognize game.
DSB: What is your new single and who produced it?
Chaotic: Our Single is called “Tap Out” Its produced by Nitti from Atlanta. Its an Up-tempo record for the clubs and the
streets. We knew that we needed to hit the world off with a smash and we are hoping by getting a platinum producer like
Nitti behind it, we can capture the eyes of the industry.
DANGEROUS ROB: and to just add to that, Jtripz came up with the hook, and Nitti produced
the beat. super producer from atlanta. he has also worked with YUNG JOC, LIL WAYNE and few other majors
artist.
DSB: What events do you have coming up?
Chaotic: We got a lot of promo spots coming up. In april we got Tulsa, Dallas, Austin and Las Vegas. We are securing
dates in May as we speak…Things are happening so fast that we are taking it a month at a time!
Montana: Yeah we’ll be in Oklahoma City doing a live radio interview on April 4th, then we’ll be @ the Texas Relays on the
night of the 4th and on the 5th doing some promo stuff then off to Tulsa on the 6th for the 6th Annual Family Day Picnic!!!
Stay busy and traveling!!!
DSB: When does the album drop?
Chaotic: We are dropping a mixtape the first week in April and will push that to the fullest. We are still waiting for all the
legalities to be worked out with regards to the album. We gonna make people filthy rich off this shit. We just want to make
sure we are doing the same for ourselves in the process.
DSB: Tell our readers where they can stay updated on DP Next Generation.
Montana: www.myspace.com/thedpnextgeneration. Come through the spot and kickit for a minute.
DSB: Any last words for our readers?
Montana: Yeah I got some last words. Haaaaaa. We coming! Hitting the game hard! Holla at ya fam, artist and producers
let’s collab! We all about unifying the game on every Coast and in between, World Wide even! Let’s all get this money
together! Oh and to my Blacks and Latinos down in LA, stop that beefing shit! We’ve been through similar struggles and we
going through the same struggles right now! Brown Love, Black pride in the sets again! That’s what we need. RIP JAS!
DSB: Alright, I want to be on one of yall’s tracks, even if it’s just doing the dialog in the beginning. lol
Montana: Fa sho! You know you was here from the start of all this! Thank You for that! FaReal!
DSB: Ok, I’m gonna let yall go now. I know you need to get back in the studio. Love yall!!!
