Dj Smallz
DSB: What projects are you currently working on?
Dj Smallz: Well I just produced my first major record called
"Welcome To The Gunshine State" featuring 30 Florida
artists together on one record, featuring everybody from
Plies to Flo-Rida. The record was a "next generation"
concept that I put together and I produced the beat as
well. You can download the record for free on djsmallz.com.
The record is a catalyst for the "Southern Smoke" album
coming soon.

I've also established "Fear Factor Music Group" directed to
strictly help with the record breaking process for artists and
record labels. If you need your music broken the correct
way or you need a campaign created, hit up
FearFactorMusic.com.

Also working on the third annual Southern Smoke College
Tour visiting a slew of college campuses this fall. Last year
we had Flo-Rida, Gorilla Zoe & 2 Pistols on some tour
dates. Now we gearing up again. If anyone wants to perform
or sponsor the tour, log on to
SouthernSmokeCollegeTour.com for more information.

Speaking of the internet I just started working on my official
daily blog! Go check that out at www.SmallzSpace.com

DSB: How long ago did you establish the Southern Smoke
series?
Dj Smallz: My head was really into school. I got a
scholarship to college and everything. I was DJin' as a
hobby ever since middle school and I was ready to get my club game poppin in high school. The first southern smoke CD was
really a demo for me to get into clubs. It was the hottest southern music put together, mixed by me. People passed the CD
around in high school and clubs, word of mouth spread and one thing led to another. That's how the southern smoke
movement really began.

Volume one wasn't hosted by any one, but the first major host though was on volume 6 with Uncle Luke of the 2 Live Crew.
Uncle Luke is a legend and the reason why albums today carry the parental advisory sticker - he fought for his lyrics! He
never hosted a mixtape before and I got him out to do it and he never did another one. I've got a lot of history with my hosts.
T.I. and C-Murder hosted a Southern Smoke behind bars. When Pimp C of UGK got out of jail, I was the only CD he hosted.
Master P never hosted anyone's either except for Southern Smoke as well.

DSB: You are working on an album right? What can the fans expect from this release? Is there a date set yet?
Dj Smallz: The South will never be the same once this album drops! It's the official soundtrack to the hottest brand in the
south - Southern Smoke! As far as DJ albums go, I'm raising the bar with this Southern Smoke album release. I have album
concepts and marketing strategies that have never ever been done with an album of this caliber. I am planning to release the
official single sometime very shortly…. Stay tuned!

DSB: What is Southern Smoke TV?
Dj Smallz: Southern Smoke TV is a new reality show im
in the planning stages with QD3, the creator of the
"Beef" DVD & BET Television show series. For more
information check out www.SouthernSmokeTv.com

DSB: What do your listeners get from Southern Smoke
Radio?
Dj Smallz: Southern Smoke Radio is my 2 hour weekly
radio show I host and DJ on Sirius Satellite Radio
(Channel 40 - Hip Hop Nation) every Thursday night.
Sirius has a 3 million listening base - it's crazy! We just
got a major deal for syndication, so look out for the show
coming to a radio station near you. For more info hit up
www.SouthernSmokeRadio.com

DSB: You get a lot of press coverage, how does it feel
when you see your face in magazines and online?
Dj Smallz: Doesn't feel any different then looking in a
mirror - Fantastic!

DSB: What was the basis behind the Southern Smoke
College Tour CD? You printed up a lot of copies and
just gave them away right?
Dj Smallz: Yes we pressed up 25,000 (shout out to all our sponsors) and just give them away out on college campuses, the
streets and the internet for FREE.

DSB: You deal with a lot of unsigned artists as well as those who are established and with major labels, do you feel there is
enough support out there for the unsigned artist to break through and be heard?
Dj Smallz: Of course! I'm here! And I love supporting the next generation of hip hop. It's the only way hip hop won't die! It lies
in the power of the dj community right now.

DSB: Which other organisations/ companies do you work closely with?
Dj Smallz: SouthPromo.com, the leader in marketing and advertising in the South. If you need marketing for your product or
company hit up SouthPromo.com!

DSB: Touring in Japan must have been fantastic for you, do you get a buzz when you travel overseas to do a set?
Dj Smallz: I'm actually going to tour 4 shows in Japan, next week (July 4th wknd). For dates, showtimes and venues check out
www.myspace.com/southernsmoke. I love performing overseas! Last year I DJ'd in 4 different countries – Canada, Germany,
Japan & Switzerland. I've seen people speak a totally different language then me, but sing all the words to a down south hit
and dance all the video moves to it. It's truly amazing to witness hip hop at its best - breaking barriers and joining different
races and cultures together. It's truly a universal language.

DSB: Which artists right now are you listening to?
Dj Smallz: In the whip i got 2 Pistols, Plies and Lil' Wayne's new albums in rotation

DSB: Any Shout's?
Dj Smallz: Once again, don't forget to check out the official website DJSmallz.com. I love breaking new artists and new music.
If you me to host your mixtape or DJ your next party or event, please call me at (305) 490-2143. Big shout to Da Street Buzz
